Arrigoni Group Brings New IPM Solutions for Seed Crop Protection to GreenTech Amsterdam 2026

The growing pressure of insect pests in open-field production, stricter Integrated Pest Management (IPM) protocols, and the gradual reduction in the use of chemical plant protection products are forcing producers to adopt new and more sustainable crop protection strategies. In response to these challenges, the Italian company Arrigoni Group will present its innovative agro-textile solutions at the international GreenTech Amsterdam 2026 exhibition, taking place from June 9 to 11.

The company will showcase the BIORETE® AIR PLUS range, developed using ARLENE HT® monofilament technology. These protective insect-proof screens are designed with extremely thin yet highly resistant fibers that prevent the passage of even the smallest and most harmful insect species, while ensuring high airflow thanks to a large number of holes per square meter.

The protection of vegetable crops intended for seed production has become one of the most demanding tasks in modern agriculture. Insects such as thrips, aphids, whiteflies, and other phytophagous species pose a serious threat because they not only damage plant tissues directly but also transmit viruses and plant diseases that can jeopardize the health and quality of seed production. In seed production systems, where genetic purity and sanitary quality are essential, even a small presence of vector insects can cause major economic losses.

The situation is further complicated by new European policies that encourage preventive and non-chemical solutions within IPM systems. Producers are therefore increasingly seeking technologies that provide efficient insect protection without compromising ventilation, crop microclimate, or environmental sustainability.

According to Arrigoni Group, BIORETE® AIR PLUS was developed precisely to meet these demands. The system is based on the concept of “Perfect Balance,” combining insect protection, airflow, and mechanical resistance. Thanks to the ARLENE HT® monofilament, the netting provides durability and stable performance both in open-field conditions and inside net houses, while preserving favorable growing conditions for crops.

“For seed crops, where production quality and plant health are essential, physical protection has become strategically important. With BIORETE® AIR PLUS, we offer a solution that combines effectiveness against insects, excellent ventilation, and long-term mechanical strength, contributing to a more sustainable and resilient agricultural model,” said Patrizia Giuliani, Sales Director of Arrigoni Group.

During GreenTech Amsterdam 2026, the Arrigoni team will welcome visitors, distributors, and business partners at Stand 245 in Hall 01, where they will present practical applications of the technology and discuss new trends in horticultural and seed crop protection. After Amsterdam, the company will continue its international presentation at GreenTech North America, scheduled for September 23–24 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
