From 15 to 17 September 2026, the French city of Rennes will host one of the world’s leading events dedicated to livestock production and agricultural technologies – SPACE 2026, which this year celebrates its 40th anniversary.
Over three days, the Rennes Exhibition Centre will bring together leading companies, producers, researchers, experts, breeders and decision-makers from around the world with one common goal: to showcase the latest solutions for sustainable and competitive food production.
Organisers are announcing an exceptionally strong edition. Nearly 900 exhibitors have already registered, including 280 international companies. Particularly noteworthy is that more than 160 exhibitors will either participate for the first time or return after several years away.
A special focus this year will be placed on the theme “Water… the source of livestock farming!”, through the “Espace pour Demain” programme, bringing together farmers, experts and companies around practical solutions for water management, climate adaptation and strengthening farm resilience. Debates will address water sharing, water quality and new approaches to resource management in livestock production.
SPACE will once again serve as a meeting point for genetics, mechanisation and technological innovation. Visitors can expect national breed competitions, presentations of renowned French livestock breeds, more than 500 cattle, sheep and goat exhibitions, as well as a dedicated aquaculture programme that continues to expand year after year.
Particular attention will once again be drawn to Innov’SPACE, one of the most prestigious awards in agricultural innovation, recognising solutions that support the modernisation of livestock production. The 2026 award winners will be announced in July.
The event’s international importance is reflected in the numbers – the previous edition welcomed more than 14,000 international visitors from 125 countries and hosted around 250 business meetings that generated new partnerships and investment opportunities.
The anniversary edition will also introduce new elements – for the first time, La Ferme Digitale will take part, presenting start-ups and practical applications of digital technologies and artificial intelligence in livestock farming.
For agricultural professionals, SPACE remains much more than a trade fair – it is the place where the trends shaping the future of farming are revealed.
